Privacy policy

Till&Sia (“we”, “us”) runs tillsia.ca, a tool that helps parents of BC students in grades 3–6 understand next steps when a teacher suggests an assessment. This page explains what information we collect and what we do with it. Questions: hello@tillsia.ca.

What we collect

• Your quiz answers. The seven questions are saved only in your own browser on your own device (local storage). We do not receive them or store them on our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.
• Your email address, if you choose to sign up for the free checklist. We use it to send the checklist and related messages about the same topic. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
• Payment details, if you buy the roadmap. Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We receive confirmation that a payment was made, and the email and name you give Stripe.
• Basic technical data. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of visit) for security and reliability.

What we don’t do

• We don’t ask for your child’s name, date of birth, school, diagnosis or any assessment results.
• We don’t sell your information.
• We don’t use your answers or your email to advertise to you through third parties.

Please don’t type your child’s personal or health information into your emails to us unless you need to. If you do, we will use it only to answer you.

Who handles your information for us

• MailerLite: sends our email list and checklist emails.
• Stripe: processes payments.
• Google (Firebase Hosting): hosts the website.

These providers may store information on servers outside Canada, including in the United States and Europe, where it is subject to the laws of those places. Each has its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. We keep payment records as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from emails at any time with the link in any message.
• Ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@tillsia.ca.
• Clear your browser data to remove saved quiz answers.

Cookies and similar technology

The site uses your browser’s local storage to remember your quiz answers. Our email form and payment link are provided by MailerLite and Stripe, which may use their own cookies. We do not run advertising trackers.

If we change this policy, we will update the date above.

If we can’t resolve a concern, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
